QiGong classes

QiGong (pronounced chee-gung) exercises are gentle movements that combine slow moving postures and breath. Many people define it as "meditation in movement". It's similar to Tai Chi in the soft flow from one posture to another. QiGong has the advantage that it isolates individual exercises and allows for tailoring a session to your particular needs. It is a method of self-healing that combines movement and meditation. QiGong means the skill of cultivating vital energy.

QiGong is for Every-Body!

Anyone can start doing QiGong for health!

No pre-existing physical or cardio-vascular condition necessary!

Our classes are suitable for persons recovering from injuries and surgery and even for seniors wanting to stay active.

We focus on Daoist methods for healing and integrate the 5 elements in our practice. Following the 5 element cycle of creation means that our exercises respect the natural flow between seasons, colors, organs and emotions. All classes speak freely about the inter-relatedness of these and methods for self-healing with nature. Our QiGong styles are a blend of  Daoist, Chen, Wudang and Shaolin origins. Some specific styles of Qigong we teach are:

Primordial Essence

5 Element Qigong

Daoist 5

Ba Duan Jin (8 Silk Brocade)

There is no uniform but, please wear comfortable clothing. Tight clothing restricts the movement of blood and Qi in the body.

Stay in touch with others who practice QiGong QiGong at Meetup.com

  • Improve micro-circulation

  • Reduce blood pressure

  • Strengthen the Lungs

  • Strengthen the Heart

  • Improve Digestion

  • Prevent illness

  • Treat illness - please ask about specific QiGong exercises for particular diseases including cancer, asthma, anemia, etc

  • Integrate mind/body/spirit

  • Restore Peace within
